I think we need to look at some basic facts and discuss what to do. Do we have ownership details of 14 BPs from Asia. Do we have anyone analyzing their voting pool and overlaps? And of course, we need to build communication channels and learn what is going on. Beyond this, we need to talk about systematic changes to ensure that the voting is fair. E.g. Exchanges not voting without clear transparency of proxy voting.

I really have NO clue how they fix this
It's not like there wasn't "Uhm" moments before launch and right after when people looked at the voting results where we didn't as a community see this kinda thing coming
but here we are - honestly I feel like B1 convincing several BP's to commit to a new constitution and code base that has the benefits needed to kick this issue - and then maybe fork the whole thing
convince new businesses that that B1 + approved BP's are the "ultimate" chain, and call the other EOSClassic
gotta get the exchanges on board to - but oh, they're all voting, so if it impacts their profitability (Which it would have to) they won't go with it
that's my .10 (much more than my normal .02)

Yeah, I am fully on board with trying a URI system, even if it somehow waters down my bank account. I'm prepared to make the necessary sacrifices (if any) to accomplish this equilibrium.
Definitely not the will of the token holders. Just the will of the large token holders who don't care about anything else but profit.

This story, though, I notice some uninvolved BPs were quick to play it down as nothing more than fake news, but I can understand why they would do this as if it is true, it is not just damaging to the immoral BPs, but to EOS as a whole.

The referendum system actually doesn’t currently support proxy voting. We’re working out how to support it while ensuring we prevent double voting
The UI needs some minor work and the tally needs to be refactored for stability. The team has stated that should be quick once they return from the London hackathon. I wanna say a week or two, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve said that and was wrong. I’ll check in with the team and report back.

EOS is so cool...
I'm slightly concerned about current affairs, but I'm not worried about it. I do feel really bad for all the hard working BP's that are currently not rewarded justly, but I know that it will eventually sort itself out. Equilibrium takes time but it's one law that the universe won't break.

I see that many people and BPs are unhappy about exchanges and about most of Asian BPs being in top 21 but I’m wondering why no one talks about REX as the solution. Yes, the voting won’t be enabled just yet but people who keep their tokens on exchanges would surely move them out in order to get REX rewards. This would improve the overall situation.

They won't move off exchanges until they are happier with security options for their tokens.

I really don't see some REX dividends as the answer to that challenge.

Every people know most token holder are chinese，but how many BP hired a member can speak Chinese
So many BP know my clients have have some token，but how many people trying to us to give a brief understandable introduction to our clients
BTW，we launched a kylin testnet I believe most Chinese community already joined it.
I can give a list who have visted us or at least contact me，get couple million vote from our proxy，plz check what I ask in return for them.

My experience with DPOS up to this point has been to continually demonstrate value and work towards building valuable things (less time talking to individual token holders to try and obtain votes). That has worked for me personally on Steem, but I wonder with the larger global distribution of EOS if that same approach is feasible. It's awkward for me personally to directly ask for votes. That said, building relationships is key and certainly more of that should happen across languages and cultures.
