Hello, We are EOSYS standby Block Producer who have been working hard for EOS ecosystem in Korea.
EOS 메인넷이 시작된 지 무려 한 달이 다 되어가는데요, 최근에 있었던 RAM 시장의 투기 영향으로 인해 EOS 생태계에 대한 부정적인 시선이 생긴 것 같습니다. 이에 RAM 시장에 대한 EOSYS의 입장을 밝히도록 하겠습니다.
There has been a month since EOS mainnet was alive. We see that there are negative voices and concerns on current RAM market in the community for its high volatility. In this regard, EOSYS announce our official stance.
인프라 관리
EOS 블록 프로듀서는 서버 인프라를 관리하는 역할을 합니다. 이는 현재 대기 블록 프로듀서인 EOSYS에게도 해당됩니다. 상위 블록 프로듀서들의 비상상황을 대비해 서버 인프라를 실시간으로 관리하고 EOSIO 소프트웨어 업데이트를 신속하게 진행하고 있습니다.
Managing Infrastructure
Block producers in EOS ecosystem manages server infrastructures. It also applies to EOSYS, currently running as a standby block producer. We have been keen to system upgrades in preparation for block producing.
RAM 공급량
최근 댄 라리머에 따르면 RAM 공급량을 1년에 64GB(한 블록 당 1KB)증가시킬 수도 있다고 했습니다. 이는 램의 가격의 비정상적인 상승을 막고 안정화를 위한 Block.one의 노력이라 볼 수 있습니다. EOSYS는 RAM 관련 업데이트가 있을 시 서버 인프라 업그레이드에 대한 사항과 함께 커뮤니티에 신속하게 알리도록 하겠습니다.
RAM SUPPLY
According to Dan Larimer, RAM supply can be increased by 64GB(1KB per block) annually. It is part of Block.one’s effort on stabilizing RAM market, preventing side effects from high volatility. EOSYS will announce as quickly as possible when RAM related infra updates happen.
구매와 판매의 투명성
현재 자유 경쟁 시장에 맡겨져 있는 RAM은 블록 프로듀서에 의해 공급되고, 블록 프로듀서와 EOS 토큰 홀더 사이에 정보 비대칭성도 존재합니다. EOSYS는 이를 인지하고 RAM을 구매하지 않았습니다.
EOS 생태계에 중요한 DApp(Decentralized Application) 개발자는 DApp을 동작시키기 위해 RAM이 필요합니다. EOSYS와 연관된 NOVA Wallet, EOS DAQ, TOKENEXT 등 다양한 DApp들을 위해 RAM이 필요한 상황입니다. 이에 EOSYS는 RAM 구매와 판매시 정확한 수량과 이에 대한 타당한 이유를 밝히도록 하겠습니다.
Transparency on RAM Buying and Selling as a BP
RAM is provided by block producers and traded in a free market. There is an information asymmetry between EOS token holders and block producers at some point. EOSYS knows the situation and we have not been engaged with any speculation of RAM.
EOSYS needs to buy RAM to develop DApps (ex. NOVA Wallet, EOS DAQ, TOKENEXT etc). For this, we pledge to announce beforehand when we need to buy RAM, disclosing amount and reasons why we need to buy.
