The dream
I dreamed that I went to my shower in the morning and found that four strange men were using it regularly. They come in through the back door and shower every morning. Two of them I know from my town and they do have their own houses. Two others I'm not sure who they are. The house did not look exactly like my house, but still, it's my home. And it seems that my husband agreed to this and it did not seem such a bad thing to him. He even asked me to tell them to leave, if it bothers me so much.
(In reality, my husband would not have agreed to any invasion of his private life, and certainly, he would not force me any invasion of any kind. However, in the dream he is weak.)
Back to the dream- I'm very upset about this situation, I'll be late for work because I have to wait for everyone to finish. So I leave my home, I do not know why. On the way, I see that people have left a beautiful, silver-looking tray next to the garbage can, and I reach for it. Then a black-and-white puppy comes out from under the tray, who is very cute and runs in front of me. As I open the door of the house he bursts inside and catches a bird (a pigeon or a turtledove) that was there.
I then pick each in one hand and kick them out of my house. I'm 60 years old.

My interpretation
There is a recurring motif in your dream, which you must be aware of, and that is the invasion of the house. The house symbolizes your personality - the 60-year-old woman you are. It represents the mental structure that includes your beliefs, worldviews, feelings, thoughts - in short, the conscious self that you are.
However, you're more than that; much more. The self you know is only a part of a larger self, your soul. In this soul, there are other selves who also have a separate existence. In the growth process of each person, including yours, there is a merger - to a greater or lesser extent - of the parts of the soul. This can be likened to a school reunion meeting.
The four men (the number 4 is not accidental, it symbolizes the spiritual stage in which you are) represent the masculine energy that seeks to enter into your life, to be accepted by you. The bird also represents a kind of energy, of such an aspect.
The dream also says that you refuse to allow these energies to enter. For your own reasons, you are driven away by them, angry and throwing them out. It is worth examining this approach, its reasons, and accordingly (if you wish) to make a change.
To what don't I let enter to my life? And what does "the spiritual stage in which I am" mean? And how does number 4 relate to that?
You asked excellent questions, some of which have very long answers to, so I will shorten and apologize in advance for simplification.
The meaning of "masculine energy" is the meaning that you attach to this concept. Ask yourself - what is a typical male behavior to you? What is it characterized by? What qualities do you consider the average man has? Assertive? Forceful? active? aggressor?
The spiritual phase I mentioned is a stage I call "the fusion of aspects." After the person (you, in this case) has consolidated his personality, his human self, he feels ripe to call upon the rest of his/her parts and gather them into his lap.
Why the number "4"?... It's a long story. In principle, it is thought that the number 2 symbolizes wholeness, union (of two parts). But, this union is only on the earthly plane, the union of two halves, bridging the duality. "4" in contrast represents a spreading union, taking place at all levels. And again, sorry for simplification.

Why don't you let those energies enter your life? Usually, the reason is fear. The ego fears that if it allows other parts to enter its territory, they may swallow it, divert it, threaten its existence, and eventually destroy it. You see it a lot in people who deal with unbalanced aspects, especially sexual/physical aspects. Their personality is fragile and unstable, so when such an aspect penetrates into their spiritual territory, they fail to confront it and surrender to the aspect's needs. This is the root of most deviant sexual behaviors and various addictions (drugs, alcohol, etc.).
Since your personality is strong enough, you may want to talk to these aspects and invite them in, while making it clear that you are the landlady! But again, only if you feel it's the right thing for you to do.
It does not cease to amaze me how my own private brain sends me messages in such a complicated way that I cannot understand without explanations. What doesn't my mind want me to understand? And how is it that my brain makes the messages so complicated?
No need to be so harsh with yourself! It's just another language, the language of dreams. You have to learn it, to experiment, to practice, just as you read "Lonely Planet" before you travel abroad.
