I'll make this clear, when it comes to crypto, I was ahead of the curve with the original, and is still what I have most of (BTC). I'm a more than able computer user, it's not what I studied in university, I learned another crazy language there, chemistry.
Currently my desktop has no OS on a hard drive other than the dead win7, no matter how Ultimate and x64 it is. Is it wise or does it even work to install the deb for the Esteem Surfer on a live session of say ubuntu mate 18.04.3 amd64 ? The install with gDebi says it worked but it choked on a line relating to chrome and a sandbox...which is normal, I haven't installed any other browser than what came with the live session/install, and I'm a Firefox guy anyway, so unless Chromium would work and would be absolutely needed..I think I can't run it, it shows up in the Menu, but clicking it does nothing.
I imagine there is a limit to what can be accomplished while on a live session...I'll be installing this version of Ubuntu Mate pretty soon, just gotta make space and remove a lot of data and burn em on some 100gb BD-R's, can't risk a usb drive that will perish someday for some of my data.
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong and Esteem Surfer has to be called in a different way I never heard of...that would surprise me though, I got 11 years of experience with Debian Linux and its flavours, don't think something as basic as starting an app would be trouble, but Linuxland always has some surprises!
