London isn’t particularly known for colour.
When you look closely however, there are small, compartmentalised bursts of colour that rival any other city.
Most of the aforementioned colour comes from street art - legally installed and otherwise.
There are neighbourhoods known for colourful graffiti for instance. In some of those neighbourhoods, the property owners and even the government, go as far as commissioning artists to ‘decorate’ large walls in the spirit of the place. Other neighbourhoods actively clean up after relentless rogue graffiti artists.
You have companies that capitalise on street art to market their products to the arty demographic. ✔️

I always enjoy watching masterful street artists at work. There is a certain rhythm to the way they move - especially when using a spray can. I’m quite competent with a paint brush myself, but I’m so impressed how they’re able to control sprayed paint to create such detail.
Peace and Love ✌🏿
