Amblyrhynchus cristatus

This marine iguana of the Galapagos Islands boasts a lifestyle not shared by other reptiles; such as penguins or sea lions, they spend their entire lives on the shoreline, dive into the water for their food. Charles Darwin was known to be disgusted by these animals when he first discovered it, and called this lizard the nickname "imps of darkness."
