You all can't snatch it for another year now. I own https://steem.tools for another whole year, so you all get to put up with my services for another year. The site is a massive loss, percentage wise, but money wise it only costs me £3.92
per month, but to provide a service, that's not exactly what you want to see. Lets hope I can make it better this year!
I finally bit the bullet, and for the second time ever, I renewed a domain & the hosting tied to it. Admittedly for a year, it's not too bad, as it comes out to $5.07 per month, which is less than £5/mo (at current prices), it's less than £4 even, £3.92 and that's locked in at this point, so I don't need to worry about that during the fun times of stability we have in the UK, known formally as Brexit.
This now means that the site is a loss (more than before as that wasn't intended for this originally, so it wasn't an expense). I've got around 40 STEEM in donations, I haven't cashed it out, so its current value is $6.11, meaning it can only barely cover a month, but I'm hopeful that in the future my hodling will pay off and those 40 STEEM will be enough to keep the site going forever, or even the upvotes generated from that SP to keep paying for it 🤷. Who knows. We'll all have to ride out the waves and see what happens.
