This beautiful beach is located on the tip of the island of Sumatra, precisely in Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province, with rows of hills and mountains along the coastline and white sand and dazzling pine forests.
This beach is called Lampuuk Beach Aceh Besar which is one of the most shaken tourist spots by local and foreign tourists.
The beach which is 15 kilometers away from the city of Banda Aceh, was hit by a tsunami in 2004 which destroyed hotels located on the beach and also the settlements of de-pounding waves of large sea water. almost half of the population around Lampuuk beach died in the disaster.
At the moment this tourist spot is starting to get crowded again. The location of this beach is very strategic, which is on the edge of the Banda Aceh-Meulaboh crossing so that almost every day the beach is crowded. There are 4 routes to enter the Lampuuk Beach, namely Babah Satu, Babah Dua, Babah Tiga and Babah Empat. The most visited by local tourists namely Babah Satu and Babah Dua, in this location there is a turtle conservation place which is a vehicle for education for children. While Babah Tiga is most often visited by foreign tourists, because this location is very suitable for surfing, swimming and sunbathing.
Facilities at Lampuuk beach are now being repaired and equipped such as lodging from classrooms to cottages with varying rates and also the provision of banana boats. Besides that along the beach is also available all kinds of seafood food dishes such as grilled rambe fish, grilled grouper fish, squid and shrimp and all kinds of fresh drinks like fruit juice and young coconut water.
Because the beauty of the beach and its nature makes this tourist spot perfect for spending holidays with family.
