Esteem is a really neat app, and as a regular user decided to see, if could use my skills somehow to enhance the user experience. Coding with a mobile phone is not such a good idea.
But having been organizing translations, subtitles and such, so spent some hours to make English text look Finnish. Found an old post from @good-karma about the translation project, and just went on with it.
The language differences are huge, from vocabulary to structure, not too many things in common besides being means of communication. So if you happen to be a Finnish proofreader, here is something to look at.
Other languages seem to be still a bit undone too, so translations are a great way to enhance communication skills and localize the project a bit. It can be fun, especially if there is a nice group doing it together.
The website side translation was pretty basic menu stuff, with some deeper legalese terms. Pretty short too, and someone already made some progress before.
Really like the UI of the Crowdin site, with suggestions and everything. Perhaps without monthly paid plans, would use it for personal projects.
I do this stuff voluntarily, not after rewards or praises, just like to spend time doing something worthwhile. Wish more people would do stuff for "nothing", without asking permissions <3
