Myanmar have individual name for each person. They have no forename or surname. Each and every infant has his or her individual name.
ျမန္မာတို႔သည္ တစ္ဦးစီ တစ္ေယာက္စီ အတြက္ သီးျခား အမည္နာမ တစ္ခုစီ ႐ွိၾက၏။ မ်ိဳး႐ုိးနာမည္ မ်ိဳး႐ိုးအမည္ဟူ၍မ႐ွိ ကေလးတစ္ဦးအတြက္ သူအပိုင္နာမည္တစ္ခုစီ႐ွိ၏။
Their names have good omens or meaning. Names of flowers are given to names of girls, for instance, the name of the spouse of the German Ambassador to Myanmar is Ma Hninsi, Ms.Rose. Some are given the name of singing birds, such as Ma Gyogyar, Miss Crane.
