Of course Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a store of value while Ethereum is a platform. Ethereum still hasn't left the harbour and has a lot to go through.
Bitcoin is a pure currency while Ethereum is more than just a currency. Ethereum serves a much greater purpose. And that brings us to certain things such as ICO manipulation, Pump n Dump, undefined supply, control over network, dubious ICOs, inflation etc.
Ethereum blockchain is controlled by a small group of insiders that can and do edit the blockchain. This was demonstrated by the June 18th, 2016 DAO debacle that led to a hard fork.
Currencies have Market Makers but ETH has ICO too. It’s a double-trouble. Market-Makers can jump any time but ICO will only dump if the coin is doing good. And that leaves me no choice but to go short on Ether.
Ethereum is not used as a general transaction currency; it can’t be trusted as a secure store of wealth but rather a pump n dump finance token. It has a derived value that appears almost entirely dependent on legally dubious ICOs that can’t go on forever. It’s substantially more risky and overvalued.
I tend to believe that ETH would probably never pass that psychological figure of $1000. There will be always pump n dump. Too easy for them to manipulate as compared to Bitcoin, Dash, Litecoin etc.
The hype that you notice around ETH is created (and rightly so created) by Tech lovers and not investors.
