Here is my latest youtube clip of the most simple overview of current scaling issues that several blockchains are facing. As mentioned in a critical post by Vitalik, founder of the Ethereum blockchain today, scaling is one of the biggest issues facing this and many other blockchain cryptocurrencies.
Some of the key outcomes of having scaling issues are:
- It is currently preventing mass implementation and adoption of blockchain technology
- It is causing congestion on specific blockchains when there is 'high demand'
- It may cause vulnerabilities or at least opportunities for attackers to scam the blockchain network with miss-information
