Hey Hive friends, Hope you’re all doing great! Today I want to share something exciting with you all — a fresh update that shows big players are getting serious about Ethereum again.
Just recently, SharpLink Gaming, one of the most aggressive ETH treasury builders right now, purchased 21,959 ETH, worth around $85.5 million at current prices. That’s not a small buy!
With this latest purchase, SharpLink’s total ETH holdings now stand at 543,898 ETH — valued at over $2.1 billion. 😮
This move comes right after they raised $200 million through a stock offering, with the aim of expanding their Ethereum treasury. In simple terms, SharpLink is going all-in on ETH and is planning to hold it for the long run.
But it’s not just SharpLink. ETH whales are back in accumulation mode too! On-chain data shows that in the past four days, large wallets have accumulated nearly $670 million worth of ETH.
Just last week, the sentiment was bearish, with heavy selling going on. But this reversal shows renewed confidence from big investors.
The $4K mark has been a major psychological resistance for ETH. But with treasury firms, whales, and ETFs all adding ETH to their portfolios, the momentum is clearly shifting.
Tom Lee, CEO of BitMine (the largest ETH corporate holder), has gone as far as predicting that Ethereum could hit $16,000. According to him:
"Ethereum has become Wall Street’s preferred choice."
Prediction markets like Polymarket, on the other hand, say that there is a 54% chance that ETH will reach a new all-time high before the end of the year. This number went up by 17% in just 24 hours after this last buying spree
“Ethereum will be the decentralized base for global finance, powering stablecoins
tokenized real-world assets, and the next generation of economic systems.”
More and more people think that Ethereum isn't just a cryptocurrency; it's the future of the world's financial systems.
To be honest, I'm really excited about all of this. It's clear now that institutions aren't just watching from the sidelines; they're getting involved with a lot of money.
What do you think? Is it possible for ETH to go over $4,000? Are you holding on for the long term too?
