Whenever a fictional evil race is described with the worst attributes you think about how similar this fictional race is to black people. Tell us again how this line of thought is not racist. Its a fantasy world where usually magic exists, therefore evilness can be set in a creature's nature. This way of thinking says more about how your mind is wired to associate such characteristics with black people than society as a whole.
It used to bother me in Star Trek how klingons were portrayed savagely but not because I thought of them as "similar to black people" but because it didn't fit an environment where the notion of "inherently evil" seems to be rejected. There seems to be a solution for this issue in a couple lines of dialog in an episode of Star Trek - Enterprise where it became clear that the whole "warrior culture" of the Klingon Empire was not part of their whole legacy but a slow takeover of their society. Something similar to what slowly happened with Japanese society in the years between Meiji Restoration and World War 2.
