I'm a huge fan of Steem Monsters.
I think it's an amazing addition to the Steem blockchain.
But for me this project stands out for another reason.
What the makers of the upcoming game have shown is that it's absolutely possible to monetize the Steem blockchain as an entrepreneur without relying on upvotes (reward pool).
Don't believe me...Just check their wallet :)
For me they are a huge example of what is possible on Steem.
Steemians are buying card packs ($2 USD each) every day to try to complete their collection with STEEM/SBD or with other crypto.
It's a great continious revenue stream for Steem Monsters and a model which they can build upon in the future in the form of new cards packs with different cards.
And now they come up with another brilliant idea to expand on their entrepreneurship.

On the market it is possible for players to buy and sell their cards easily.
I bought some cards yesterday and it works like a charm.
From every transaction the Steem Monster team takes 2%.
It's a good extra continuous revenue stream for them they can use to further develop this game.
(Don't worry trading cards as before between players is also still possible and free)
It's also very cool to see the price development on these cards happen.
Nobody really knows what they are worth and with this market I suspect things to become clear very soon.
All in all an extremely cool update by Steem Monsters.
