So, since HF19 there's been discussions on reduced views on posts, and also talk of less up-votes on comments. Now, there is not a lot that can be done if your blog is badly titled, doesn't have a single image, and isn't tagged (well there is, just it's been covered a thousand times so what's the excuse?!), but with regards to getting that elusive .5, 1, 5, 10, or even 76 dollar (damn!) up-vote, there are some techniques, or words, that can be said, and of course some that just aren't going to cut it.
Here are a few examples I've found that have managed to miss that killer up-vote all us minnows like to feed off. Names have been hidden for privacy and basically to avoid embarrassment.
The Beggars
"Because you typed 3 of the letters in 'please'? No"
"LOL, nop"
The Impolite
"Because you don't write anything nice? And you're rude, and there are many nice people here, want me to continue?"
The Short n' Sweets
"Thanks"
"Thanks a lot, getting warmer..."
"Thanks! warmerrr..."
"Thank you! Sorry, it's just people are asking questions about my post and i'd rather just...."
The Traders
"Like the Genesis track?"
"So you liked my post? Yours is a bit crap though sorry."
Annnnd, the Creepy
"Not any more i don't, No!"
It's a tough world out there and you won't last long unless you buck your game up!
Of course, there's always an exception to put a spanner in the works...
Always a chance with the sympathy vote i suppose!
As I mentioned earlier, there's plenty of sound advice already on what does work, in addition to luck, and ability to type quickly and accurately may catch some rewards. Humor helps too! My personal advice would be, read the frickin' blog! If something comes to mind, comment! If it doesn't, find new inspiration elsewhere!
Thanks for reading my first blog with my new laptop, yessss! Sadly not bought with Steem, just a necessity as blogging on the iPhone has destroyed my thumbs and this post may have taken 2 weeks.
Peace and love all
