This is an interesting topic. One ive been looking forward to. There are a lot of ways steem can help people and feed the world but we would be talking about steem feeding the world through the agricultural sector. There are a few points I want to outline and discuss………
• The #SCFES program – this is an @farms initiative, This program aims at empowering people with prior interest in the agricultural sector (crop farming or agricultural farming).
This initiative would help empowered individuals be self dependent an reliant. Also, @farms hope that in no distant time, the empowered people would be employers of labour.
• FARMS AT FARMS INITIATIVE - this is another initiative by @farms. This aims at @farms owning its own farm. The farm would have both crop section and livestock section. Feasibility studies are still ongoing to see how best to kick off this project. The FARMS AT FARMS INITIATIVE would be instrumental in
- EMPLOYMENT OF LABOUR FOR JOBLESS PEOPLE
- DISTRIBUTION OF FARM RESOURCE TO THE NEEDY
- GENERATION OF CASH TO FURTHER SUPPORT THE #SCFES PROGRAM
Also, the farm program also aims at facilitation of steem-naira exchange with local farmers and traders………..
• @farms being a small and growing agro-based community would also improve the state of living of steemians by resteeming and upvoting. This would in return generate steem/sbd tokens for steemians (minnow or dolphins {big and small}).
also @farms, through social networking would promote agriculture in a modern sense. it serves as an avenue to enlighten people on modern and mechanized farming
There are also more ways in which steem can feed the world and @farms is on the trail of discovering them.
