The Prophet (ﷺ)said:
"Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Every act of the son of Adam is for him, except the fasting which is (exclusively) for Me, and I will reward him for it,...
...as he (the one who observes the fast) leaves his sexual desire, food and drink for My Sake.'
Fasting is a shield (from Hell)!
So the fasting person should avoid obscene spech and should not behave foolishly and ignorantly,...
...and if somebody fights with him or insults him, he should tell him twice, 'I am fasting.'
By Him in Whose Hand the soul of Muhammad is, the breath of one observing fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
The one who fasts, experience two joys:
!. He feels pleasure when he breaks the fast. 2. He is joyful by virtue of his fast when he meets his Lord."

The Prophet (ﷺ)said:
"Fasting is a shield from the Hellfire just like a shield of yours in battle."

The Prophet (ﷺ)said:
"Verily, there is a gate in Paradise called satisfaction (Al-Rayyan) through which only those who fasted will enter on the Day of Resurrection. No one else will enter it along with them...
...It will be said: Where are those who fasted that they may enter? When the last of them enter, it will be closed and no one else will go through it."

The Prophet (ﷺ)said:
"Fasting and Qur'an will intercede for the benefit of the believer at the Day of Judgment."

Shaikh Abdul Aziz al Tarefe:
"A great month has cast its shade over you. The gates of mercy have opened. You need not request them to open in order for them to do so;...
You simply require feet that move in order to enter! Do not wait for someone to carry them!...
May Allah make us from among those who advance toward Him!"
