Fear exists. It is capable of messing with our head and rendering the most brilliant of minds incapable. Fear has the potential of messing with the present, robbing us of our joy, and having a huge influence on our future too. As real as fear tries to present itself, it is not real, in the sense that, it is only as powerful as we allow it to be.
I have to admit I have been scared many times. I have been so fearful many times and I noticed when I declared a positive word over that situation, that fear disappeared. Fear is only as powerful and potent as we allow it to be.
I know you are scared, I know you are worried, I know you have things messing with your head and you are uncertain about what the future holds, I am telling you this, fear is only as powerful as you allow it. Take back your peace and declare positive words. It is not easy I admit. In fact, it is sometimes difficult because it has a way of incapacitating us, but the good things about fear are that it is just in our head. It all plays out in our head and that is where the battle needs to be won also; our head, our mind.
Our words shape our world and when we declare a positive word, even amidst contrary situations, soon and over time, our subconscious and our mind start believing that reality. Once we start believing that reality of fear dissipates. It fades away. I know it is not easy especially when we have been so deep into that circumstance, but fight your way through and don’t empower it, push it out instead.
One interesting thing I have recently learned about Mohammed Ali is, he strikes fear first into his opponent’s mind. He tried to win the bout even before it began. The words he spoke before a fight, the self-appraisal he did, the jumping up and down he did, bursting with so much energy and hitting himself, were all tactics to strike fear into his opponent’s mind.
Once you have lost the battle of the mind, you have lost already. Once fear sets in, morale would be low, the spirit would be down, the energy would drain and negative thoughts would creep in, which will make the person lose his or her sense of worth, and it spirals into other aspects of our lives.
Fear is a perfect path to failure.
Fear only exists in the mind and the battleground is our mind. We can live with losing the good fight, but we cannot live with not fighting it. We need to attack fear from where it messes with us; our mind. Like I said, it is not going to be an easy fight, but it is the fight we need to really fight. Our life depends on it.
I remember when I used to fear to discuss with people. I do feel I wasn’t good enough. I lost my confidence and I just caved in. I avoided people or anything that would make me engage with people. Fear is only as powerful as we allow it.
What is your fear? Let’s tackle it together. Remember, we are all learning together.
