........ There are a variety of birds that visit our house for a bite to eat. Somehow or other they know that we serve 5 star quality mince meat. The upside are the Magpies singing for their supper. They obviously appreciate the food bar!
They must have had our house staked out because they visited as soon as we returned home from Antartica and Latin America!
I am not sure when this feeding regime came about but it did. The friendship has evolved to the Magpies taking the food from our hands. It is all very comfortable and very friendly.
Here is the Butcher Bird who arrives on the deck announced and sits very quietly waiting to be seen.
But, alas there is a downside to birds visiting our food bar, unless this is meant to be a thank you or perhaps payment. Got to laugh!

Check out this huge bulky bag on this young man's back. It is a baby's safety capsule! We meant him in the lift and I have to say it was a very tight squeeze with this fellow's back bag and his trolley of bags!
