It is necessary to emphasize that for the use of Bocashi organic fertilizer, the amount and the way of applying it is very varied, depending on the crop, its needs and type of soil. Therefore, in general, some examples of experiences in its use are cited. In this sense, it is suggested that the use of Bocashi organic fertilizer depends on the following factors that condition the process.
▶ Availability of organic matter on the farm (green manure or waste on the farm, quality and nutritional value of Bocashi, climate, type of crops, physical space for production, previous crop and production management (using agrochemicals or not).

In this sense, the amount of fertilizer to be applied to the crops is mainly conditioned by several factors, such as: the original fertility of the soil where the crop is to be grown, the climate and the nutritional requirements of the plants to be cultivated. For this reason, it is pertinent to recognize the use or destination of Bocashi organic fertilizer within the scope of crop and harvesting processes.
For seedbeds, use a mixture of Bocashi preferably cured (2 to 3 months) in proportions that vary from 90% of selected soil with 10% of Bocashi, up to 60% of soil with 40% of cured Bocashi. Farmers regularly conduct small trials to determine the optimum ratio.
When transplanting seedlings: Farmers have been experimenting with several ways of fertilizing their crops. a) Direct fertilization at the base of the hole where the seedling will be placed, covering the fertilizer with a little soil so that the root does not come into direct contact with the fertilizer.
