Lilicoon talks to her therapist about the request for a date by someone she cares for quite a bit, and her fear and confusion because of it.

Lilicoon flexed her fingers in her current crochet piece. It was an instinctual comfort motion from the feline side of her genetics, and therefore unstoppable. Having something soft to flex her new hands in was a boon for her.
"I know that Human Jay is one of the very dangerous humans, but he is also dangerous in very specific circumstances. They are also... nice. They are kind to me. They are gentle. I... like them."
Therapist Zef knew this wasn't entirely about Jay. Yes, Jay was a member of Pax Humanis; yes, they were a serial murderer, but they were a Justice Enforcer and not the type who simply enjoyed killing. Ze got to the meat of the matter. "You are not entirely concerned about your upcoming date with them, are you?"
A deep breath, a repetition of her mantra, "I must recognise the things I was programmed to do in order to combat them." Flex, flex, flex in her coat-in-progress. "I was created to please people. To serve, and be servile. I am... concerned... about what others may think of Jay. How they will judge, before they know them."
"And that is...?" Prompted Zef.
"That is their problem," recited Lilicoon. "What we are doing is having dinner and walking together in Cherryblossom Park for the live entertainment festival. Jay did mention a stop at the OmniName Directory to try to find me a better name."
Well. That was a sign in Jay's favour. Lilicoon had stuck to the name given by her former owner for far too long. Part of her trepidation in regards to changing it was the thought of "making him mad". No matter how posthumous the anger might be.
A common logical flaw in survivors like her. "Name shopping sounds like it might be fun," Zef encouraged. "If you don't decide on one, you can still have a collection that suits your whims and choose from there."
"But what if someone tries to make it our problem? People who may have a moral objection?"
Oh yes. Dereggers were everywhere these days. Trying to apply personal morals to everyone else's choices. "You know how to de-escalate, and Jay has Security watching them at all times. If their de-escalation fails, stunners exist." Zef had to add the metaphorical cherry on top, "Further, Jay is not the kind of Pax Humanis enforcer to kill someone just for being rude."
Jay's favoured prey was rude, aggressive, and violent. Few who got this deep into Alliance territory his all three of those qualifiers.
Lilicoon put down her crochet to activate her datareader, it showed several clothing options. She had one final concern. "What should I wear?"
