Aboard a ship heading to the edge, the human creates a special room filled with pillows and stuffed animals. They are asked why the odd room? Two words, emergency de-stressing. For everyone. -- Anon Guest
They began with soft lining for the floor, walls, and ceiling. Following that were large enough soft furnishings to, as Human Bakr put it, "confound a horse."
There were also animal effigies in soft fabrics.
There were also soft, colourful lights and ur-music with calming and meditative chords. It was... a confounding habitat for a Human to create.
Human Bakr kept bringing in equipment for the space. The last being a diffuser she ensured was able to infuse the air with scents that were safe for all. There was a remote in a friendly pocket that Bakr added to the soft padding of the wall. Anyone using the space could adjust the scents, sounds, and lights to suit their needs.
"But..." objected Companion Zeph as they boggled at the setting. "What is it for?"
"Relaxation. I call it degaussing but it's generally for calming down and getting into that serene zone. Very good for post-encounter panic attacks."
Which implied that Bakr had experienced such, either as a witness or a victim.
"How many have you known?" asked Zeph.
"Oh I do this for everyone," said Bakr. "Sometimes, it's not even needed, but people go in there to hang around and chat. Chillaxing and gasbag session, you know?"
"I do not see any balloons," said Zeph, sure they had lost track of the conversation.
"Not that gasbag. The other gasbag. Talking. This is the best place for shoo--" she stopped herself. "Talking. You'll see."
Zeph supposed they would.
