What do I do for a living? I work as a biologist in planet-sized zoo. We raise animals that are almost extinct and help reintroduce them, safely, to habitats that are suited for them without disrupting the local ecosystem. I love my work. -- Anon Guest
It took years to find it. It took a team of Deep Time AI's to terraform it. We went to inhabit the ark and work on the next part. Seeding the world with endangered creatures. Each to their best environment.
We live in the ark. This new world is jokingly called Earth Dot Bak. A planet of endangered creatures with no predators and nothing that could disturb their necessary environments.
That includes Humans.
You might think that's tricky when we're checking on the health and welfare of the creatures we're caring for. For most of the observation patrols, we have themed roaming animal bots that we can use for telepresence. Different creatures so the endangered ones don't do any imprinting.
If anything's in desperate need, that same bot can deploy a lifepod that will tranquilise and send up the patient for a low-flying pickup vessel.
We don't need to do that very often.
We're not meant to interfere. We're not even meant to use the roaming bots too often, but I can't help it.
They're all so magnificent. So beautiful. It's wonderful just to witness them existing. Being their best beastie selves.
I can't help it. I just have to go and look.
The baby mammoths are adorable.
