Welcome to the next part in the latest in a series of new science fiction horror stories by yours truly, Jeezzle.
The Exit. Part 2.
I'm awake.
It's freezing.
Hello white mist burning my eyes.
Hello nightmare world I cannot escape from.
My left eye is blurry and puffy and I remember last night's session.
I am paralyzed but I'm used to it by now.
Clicking, whirring, stirring, the clamps are coming down on my legs.
I am pulled from the coffin like a cigarette from a crumpled package.
The mechanism slams me down onto the table, another session for me to be raped.
My body. My world.
Bright Light, Night Light.
The overhead shines into my face and pierces my retinas.
The Sun is a demon, trying to possess my soul. You can't have it.
Clicking. Scraping. Clanking.
A huddled shape in the distance.
I HATE YOU.
I cannot make a sound.
Will I live forever, every night another hellish experiment?
They are cutting my stomach this time. It tickles just a little bit.
I wish I could move my head.
Finally it's over and I'm back in the cold suffocating tightness of my eternal grave site.
With my limited vision I try to see my neighbor but they are not there this time. Emptiness.
The white mist begins to fill up the tiny confining space. These few seconds are the only time I have to myself when I'm not terrified. Seconds to think. Thinking is sorrow here though and I almost regret having thoughts at all.
I hope they kill me soon.
Just get it over with.
I'm awake.
Something is different.
The metal against my arms and forehead is quite hot.
There is no mist, I'm in a frying pan.
I turn my head left and right. I can see. No one is here.
I clear my throat and hear my own voice. I am male.
I have to get out of here. I kick with my feet and something knocks loose and falls forward. A cover?
I try to jimmy my way out of this sardine can and wiggle my way through to the end. I have to hurry because I'm burning alive in here. My flesh is sticking to the walls and starting to peel off.
I slide out the end and take a deep breath. My arms are burnt and blackened.
I can smell an antiseptic solution with a hint of mint. I want to vomit.
The room is dark but there is a swirling green light at the end of the corridor. I walk over to darkened shapes in the distant.
There are rows and rows of long metal tables.
Large machines with lifting mechanisms loom dangerously near each one.
They appear to be switched off.
There are all manner of unidentifiable cutting tools on little white benches near the long brown operating areas.
Above each one is a giant light, it's not turned on.
The room seems to go on forever and I want to explore every nook and cranny but I know I need to get out of here.
I've got to go while the going's good.
I hear voices whispering in a language I don't understand and suddenly an alarm goes off.
The dim green light at the end of the corridor turns red and I break into a sprint.
The darkness of this long room stretches on forever but I am approaching the doorway.
I won't spend another night in that coffin.
I'm leaving.
Part one is here.
