This will be brief... I GOTTA READ!
The submissions are in and under review, but there are just a couple of things I wanted to share today about the Urban Legend Flash Fiction Contest.
First, we had two submissions come in after my last update and I want to direct you to these two entries that arrived just under the wire:

The clinking of bottles stopped, replaced by the drunken shuffle of a man only mildly connected to reality. The shuffle grew louder as he meandered down the hall towards the living room. I froze, daring not to interrupt.
@lesliestarrohara’s Sci-Fi offering takes conservation to an extreme in INTERGALACTIC CLICKBAIT-The Legend of the Legless Space Pirates
He soon felt the ship take off, but no-being showed themselves. He started to get a little worried when he discovered some words scratched into the compartment walls--"Say goodbye to your legs, buddy" and "Fuck".
Second, I just want to say what a blast it has been for @horrorguyian and I to run this contest. Being in the MSP Discord Fiction Workshop and seeing how much fun our fellow writers had with it, watching minnows giving each other a ‘fin’ up even when in competition with one another, and reading submissions that both new and established writers have poured their creativity into has been the most gratifying experience we’ve had here at Steemit so far.
Sadly, we must go and fight to the death over who wins, places, and simply lives to write again, but we hope that all of the authors who participated not only know how grateful we are for their participation, but had as great an experience in the ‘doing’ as we have. Thank you all, and keep an eye out for the results!
