Either I am a magnet for dirty hippies, or there are just too many of them. He introduced himself to me as "God", which made me cringe and walk away to take this photo.
I walk away, but not Lance. He has a blast with these folks. He can get them just talking away. The conversation goes the same direction every time.
Rainbow-esque people spewing bullshit knowledge. For example, they believe in some sort of socialist utopia where there is no need for money. And if you ask them about their plans for the future (Lance ALWAYS does) they will tell you about land purchases (hahaha, private property) and building communes with their friends. They use words like "sustainable" and "free energy".
However, nothing could be further from the truth. They are the biggest corporate slaves, i.e. smoking marlboro cigarettes, passing around bottles of Jack Daniel's, dropping acid on a random tuesday afternoon, eating cheap shit food bought with food stamps, and living in disgusting buses with other consumers just like them. (They can't even take care of their own buses.) When Lance and I first started roaming the west coast (looking for work) we ran into so many of these uber-gross traveling "hippies" but Guernville and Arcata California may just be the the twin capitals of bullshit-ville.
Meanwhile there are actual thriving sustainable family farms (capitalist) in every direction. And instead of working the land or helping to harvest local peaches this guy tries to tell me he is God. Fuck him.
