First, there was the word.
That was not enough, obviously.
This word got defined.
By some sort of intelligence.
Then there became more words
That was not enough, still.
Those words again were defined
That was not good enough.
Eventually every word birthed more words of itself
That still was not good enough
Then there were texts, carved in stone
That was not good enough
Then there were dictionaries (fast forwarded a little)
That was not good enough
Then there were textbooks (could be also the other way around with the dictionaries, who knows anyway)
That was not good enough
Then there were textbooks pointing to other textbooks
That was not good enough
Then there were libraries pointing to other libraries (indeed?)
That was not good enough
Then somewhere around here it became impossible to read all the stuff (could also had happened a lot earlier)
And that was not good. Or ... did not feel good. Which is a difference.
Then there were - nevertheless nobody could read all the stuff - more texts
That was not good enough
Then there were Zeros and Ones
That was not good enough
Then texts became 0s an 1s
That was not good enough
Then there were texts, languages, disciplines connected to other texts, languages, disciplines from all who used 0s an 1s, not the others (!)
That was not good enough as still nobody on his own could link and understand that stuff
Then there were translators from languages to other languages (sorry, no linearity here but what can one do?)
That was not good enough
Then there was the idea that all written text from all users of 0s an 1s (seen as the whole world, though not true) could be artificially connected
That seemed ...
You finish the story.
Or twist it. Or abuse it. Do as it pleases you. Don't take it too seriously.
P.S. Quiz-Questions: What happened to the spoken word? What about oral tradition? Where does the brain store what has been told to it? Does the oral word survive through the ages? What may be it's vehicle?
Extra Bonus to win!
P.P.S. Challenge: You tell what you would like to have in return!

Please forgive me to abuse the #finishthestory tag. I won't do it again, I promise :)
