You literally are just saying nothing. Flat earthers believe in a flat earth. There are thousands of things we see every day that are impossible on a flat earth regardless of the model.
That the earth is round is not an opinion,it's not a viewpoint, it is a fact. No one is 'sowing confusion'. that is just what people say who have no facts.
And yes, you can go to Antarctica. You SAYING you can't go is just total parroting nonsense.
You can prove the earth is round yourself through simple observations humans have made for over 2000 years now. I have outlined several of them on my blog.
That you are unaware of the massive amount of simple observations anyone can make that proves it's a globe and disproves any and all flat earth models, is not enlightenment or openmindedness, it's just common ignorance.
Since you are completely unable or unwilling to look on my blog, I'll provide you two right here that I covered in the blog.
Horizon drop. Impossible on a flat earth, ,on ANY model, and IS the curvature of the earth.
And simply seeing further at altitude. Again, that IS the curvature of the earth.
I've covered these and more in my blog. Hiding behind the cry of 'we have no model' and a giant conspiracy you can't prove is ridiculous. A flat earth is impossible regardless of the model. It's also scientific illiteracy to have declared flat earth a fact when you can't even produce a model of reality.
Then we can talk about the precise predictive ability of the globe. Go ahead and get back to us when you can get a flat earth model that precisely predicts:
Moon phases
Eclipses
Tides
Meteor Showers
Daytime hours
Moonrise and moon set times
Sightings and transits of Venus and Mars
etc.
You can model these yourself to show it's true. Kids in science fairs do that every day.
Predictive science is the gold standard for scientific inquiry. Until and unless you can prove this predictive capability wrong, then flat earth does not have a leg to stand on. Not to mention the THOUSANDS of things YOU can observe that are inconsistent with a flat earth.
We'll be waiting for that precise comprehensive predictive model of flat earth. Until then, the globe ALREADY DOES all of that even decades in advance. I'm sorry, but the earth is not flat. It's easily provably by anyone who cares to get out of their house and look.
There is no point in any debate until you can do that. When all of the observations and the model PRECISELY predict dozens and hundreds of natural events even decades in advance, and anyone can use that model to compare with what they see in reality.. then there is nothing to debate.
