I am right now
a) planning my move to the bigger studio the next weeks
b) preparing for the FAWM (February Album Writing Month - 14 Songdemos in 28 Days)
and c) working on writing, filming and producing my first 360 Video short
For the later two of them I am looking into samples/foley again, as I wanna add some of that to both, my Songdemos and my short. Getting free sounds that are really free (to use personally AND commercially) is not that easy. Pages like Freesound.org have a lot of stuff, but some of them might be burdened with "only non-commercial) Licences. Which is totally fine, don't get me wrong, but nothing I can download now and use without thinking about this.
What is commercial in that case anyhow. My "free to watch" 360 Short is not really commercial work, but adding the "pay me ad-money" option on Youtube, or getting payed here via upvote might be interpreted as commercial. So I really need stuff that is free to use commercially.
I had a really big library of "free" samples that I totally ditched as I had no way to remember or look up what the Licence was. So right now I am starting to rebuild a Foley/Sample Library with
a) Stuff I bought and have the Licence for
and b) Stuff I got for free with a commercial Use Licence.
