If you spend a lot of time looking for different crypto tokens to invest in and look for fast fixes to earn some quick returns you have probably come across smart contract games developed on the Ethereum blockchain. Lets be honest, a lot of us don't like looking in our portfolio and seeing red all the time or stagnant growth in general. We also don't have the tools or time to look at charts and pick the right times to buy and sell.
So the games being developed can offer up a fun way to earn some Ethereum. Unfortunately , there comes a very high risk of losing your Ethereum. So I will list a few general rules to help you avoid being scammed or losing lots of Ethereum.
Always look to see if the code is verified from the contract link on the website and do a small transaction to see it matches. Often a scammer will post a contract link on discord but it wont be the same contract on the website. Too many times we just send our Ethereum without doing any research.
Stay with who you know. There are some excellent groups in discord . Redditt, and Telegram you can join. They have been around a long time and have earned the trust of the players.
Always try and get in early. Use lots of gas if you are spending more than one Ethereum to ensure you get a good position.
Look to see what kind of hype the game has. Was it a quick launch with no publicity. Are people talking about it on Youtube or in groups?
How does the website look? Is it just a copy with a cheap looking background. Are there lots of spelling errors?
Is the game an original concept? If its a clone is it fairly new?
