Hi friends,
If you haven’t heard, the company, Beyond Meat, Inc. went public at the beginning of May (ticker: BYND) and the stock has done well – far better than Lyft and Uber who have also went public recently.
Beyond Meat is a food company that makes plant-based products that are supposed to simulate the taste and texture of meat. They are working their way into grocery stores, and a number of fast food places are picking up their meat for a meatless hamburger.
The company is valued at $4.5 billion, but only did $90 million in revenue in 2018, so this is a start up company that people are expecting to change the game. Where I live, I have heard many people talking about the beyond meat, but I have not tried it yet.
Personally, I love hamburgers and am not about to make a substitution… here is a burger I made recently:
How do you feel about Beyond Meat? Is it a fad that is overhyped and will quickly fade? Or is it the real deal and will find a place with a good market share in the food industry?
Thanks for dropping by today!
Brian
