Last night I had the pleasure of chatting with @creativesoul after she came into the Steemit Diner for a chat. She told me she would adore a milkshake. Unfortunately, it was late and my ice cream stock was sold out!!!

I hate to disappoint a customer so this morning I called my supply guy and had every flavor of ice cream imaginable delivered to the Steemit Diner. Chocolate, vanilla, Superman, bubblegum, mocha, coconut! So many different flavors...

I decided to make today "Milkshake Day At the Steemit Diner!"

@creativesoul came in a bit ago to have a chocolate milkshake with cookies crushed up in it and we enjoyed some good conversation as I served other customers. She told me about how she is a new "minnow" here in Steemit City and how sometimes jumping into conversations is hard. She wrote about her experiences here if you want to meet her.

I was new to Steemit City not that long ago and meeting people in this bustling city can be hard. Life moves fast and there are so many people that a newbie gets lost in the crowd.

What Milkshake Would You Like?

The Steemit Diner was created as a fun place to bring together people while they enjoy wonderful food. What better place to have a conversation and meet fun people than a fictional diner?

Like my new friend I was shy here when I began. I was nervous to comment when other people were talking. Over time I came out of my shell and started to make great friends. Sometimes you just have to take a risk and talk to a stranger. Sometimes they ignore you and don't reply to your attempt at conversation. Sometimes it works out and you end up finding a kindred spirit.

If you are new take heart. It is hard work to find friends around Steemit City. It takes time and patience but you gotta keep trying.
