Afternoon Food Friends,
Yesterday I wrote about the Heritage beetroot & whipped cods row tartlet that I had from Pitch's Masterchef Experience Menu. There are a few courses and today I will be sharing with you the starter.
"Roast King scallops - Smoked cauliflower - Pickled shimeji mushrooms - British pancetta - Chicken butter"

I can honestly tell you the scallop had the sweetest taste and caramelised perfectly. They had that lovely sear. The smoked cauliflower puree was so smooth and silky and it was delicious sat in the chicken butter. The shmeji mushrooms had a great sharpness and tang to them and they really cut through the richness of the whole dish. Everything was singing in harmony with each other. No wonder this made it to the Masterchef Final. What a delightful and delicious dish! I could have eaten that all over again.
