As we got that big amount of mangos, we are grateful that our tress made us this gift, we had to think what to do. As we hate to waste food, we bought a dehydrating machine. Simple to handle but with big effects. We made the most delcious goodies and snacks this way and all our friends who tried them were excited. A healthy and yummie snack. But...the mango harvest is just once a year and nearly done now, so what is comming next.
I started to dry thai herbs and only the smell of them was great. Tried some for the start and yes the aroma is kept inside. Our son ordered allready herbs and of course mangos to send him to austria. I am sure now he will ask weekly for goodies like that.
Next step we will do the next days is to produce our own doggie jerky. As we have 11 hungry mouthes, it will be a good thing, and they will love it. And I know exactly what I am giving them for a treat then.
