I attempted to make jam from the clouds berries we foraged for.
So I will tell you right now I can’t make jams or jellies for squat! They are always watery.
But I will tell ya how I attempted anyways, lol
I always guess when I cook so I sorted my berries and added a splash of water. I cooked them over medium heat.
Once they are starting to beak up...

After they are all mashed up good. It’s time to strain out the seeds.
I got what looked like mashed baby carrots/sweet potatoes after straining out the seeds.
Look at how many seeds!
Anyways, you return the strained berries/baby food to the stove. Add your sugar and pectin.
Becareful not to burn the berries, I almost did.
Put the jam/jelly into jars, wipe the rim. And water bath them for 15 minutes.
I didn’t use any special recipe, I followed my husband directions on “just add sugar and pectin”.
No I didn’t measure.
Yes my kids LOVE it and first thing in the morning they had a very messy PB&J.
