I gave all this Steemit thing some thought over the weekend. Let’s face it, perseverance is not something I could boast about and if I want to stick to it, I should come up with some sort of a plan and (try to) follow it.
What to write about?
As for the topics, I figured the best way to start would be with what I do and therefore, allegedly, know best – languages. This might include some general linguistics-related topics or more practically oriented Spanish and English language content directed primarily to those learning (or using) these languages as a foreign language. So, next week we are starting with Spanish and English.
As for Spanish we’ll try to cover the A1 level and then see where it takes us and if anyone wants to carry on ‘to the next level’ (nunca mejor dicho). We’ll start from scratch and … well, the sky’s the limit. :)
In the English section the posts will be oriented more toward uncovering selected marvels of English grammar&vocabulary, maybe taking a look at an interesting English idiom, its origins, meaning and uses or getting our teeth into an intriguing English grammatical structure and watch its mysteries unravel right before our eyes.
Disclaimer: I am not much of an authoritative teacher and I always prefer to go down the path of collaborative effort. I've always considered the role of a teacher to be more that of providing guidance than formal ex cathedra instruction. The idea is that we all grow and learn from each other.
As for the rest of the posts, no special schedule is foreseen for now. We’ll just take it from here and see how things develop. Miscellany at its best.
See you next week (which, go figure, starts in less than an hour; at least where I live).
