It is true that history is written by the winners. Indigenous peoples have developped ways of life in wich they do not require any aid for survival. But they are commonly described as primitive simply because their way of doing things is different.
History have always portrayed these peaceful and nonviolent people as savages. The majority of films, articles and research describe these tribes as the "bad guys". The truth is that their way of life have contibuted to the protection of the environment. We as "modern society", must listen to their stories that are rich with deep wisdom and learn from them how to love and appreciate nature. No dualism between what's human and what's nature.
They live a simple life, yet full of love for nature and respect among each other. And their message is clear. They just want to live a harmonious and balanced life. Indigenous communities are disappearing rapidly due to governamental projects like mining oil, dam building, logging, and industrial projects. They face this invasion with courage but they are helpless against these governments.
