Seeing as there was an issue with Steem this morning and the @freewritehouse daily #freewrite has yet to be posted I’m writing on my own prompt relative to what’s going on in my life!
It’s never easy being forced into making a big decision, we must move. The fiancé and I have been weighing the options and so far it doesn’t look good! The decision is this, continue living in a city where housing prices are soaring to maintain our employment or return to our home town and seemingly start our lives over.
The decision to leave behind our life if chosen is drastic yet staying at the increased cost of living only to get worse as times goes on leaves us in the place of just working to live. We have been making solid progress working towards financial freedom but we are not there yet but staying in Victoria will only dampen our efforts and hinder our savings.
Options here within our budget are limited and we were very lucky to find the place we are in now with such amazing landlords(new landlords want our suite for family). Unless we can find some personal arrangement I’m suspecting this is it for our life in the big city as our budget is approx $500 below the market average. That $500 is our monthly savings and the only way we have been able to dig ourselves out of debt.
A few years from now that $500 a month would be our down payment on a house and the beginning of our real venture into financial freedom with our first step into building equity. At this point the gloves would be off, with having our own home we could venture into small business using our home as the starting place to facilitate the needs related to what ever venture we took on.
The bottom line is, the future is forever uncertain and even when you have a game plan unexpected circumstances will inevitably pop up. The only certain thing in life is change and it is neither good nor bad it just is what it is, inevitable.
