This prompt is just timely as I had a group gathering morning exercise a day ago with a group of 5 classmates. All of us are at the age of 66. One of us teaches us the body stretching exercise for good health. Yes, we all need good health at our age.
Here is the conversation I put up in my "Whatsapp Group"
Good morning bros, do you feel muscle pain after the yoqiboo? If so, you did the routine right assuming you seldom do physical stretching.
If not, it is likely that you did not stretch your movement far enough.
For me, I have growing pain almost every day either on the muscle or joints but I know for sure these are caused by my exercise and not injury
So, I begin to enjoy the growing pain
Here is the learning I shared with the group
Some key observations during the yoqiboo lesson
- Body flexibility yet to be improved
Let's do more body and limb movement in the exercise routine or when you are not doing anything such as watching TV.
You can stretch your arms in between your work or immediately after you wake up but before getting up from your bed
The key is stretch your limb whenever you get the chance. - Neck movement
Your neck is like a bridge between your body and your head that transport blood and other essentials thru and back. Frequently and systematically move around the neck will improve free flow on the bridge - The lower part of the spinal is subjected to high stress as it supports your body weight. So, turn the waist as frequent as you can to relieve the stress.
Sit or stand with your spinal upright will ensure minimum stress on the spinal, then start to turn your waist, start with the movement front, left, back and right and then do the same in a reverse ( right ) cycle. If you turn 10 times to the left, repeat for 10 times to the right. Incrementally, increase the number of turns to about 500 turns to the left and repeat 500 turns to the right on a daily or regularly basis.
Spinal is like the highway, it requires free flow to get the maximum work done.
Happy Wednesday and let's start moving your body and limb.
( Wednesday in Malaysia is your Tuesday )
Cheers
