"What the Universe Told Me" - A Freewrite

The Universe told me that there is no such thing as infinity. Everything has a beginning and an end. Even outer space. Space has a starting point and a finish line. It is just vast that even the most intelligent scientists and mathematicians will not be able to measure the exact distance between two points. Whether they measure it vertically or horizontally. It doesn't really matter. Space is not infinite.

Now I wonder, what is at the beginning? Could it be some newer creatures or creations ready to be launched? What will we see at the end? Some aliens cheering on those approaching the end? That's rather ludicrous but who knows. I can never tell.

The Milky Way. The Andromeda. These galaxies. Like if they will be graphed on a ginormous graphing paper. Where exactly are they located?

How about me? Where am I? Am I already halfway through the endpoint? Because I'm on Earth, does it mean I'm on a standstill? What if I was born floating in space? Will I ever thrive? Will I move and progress notwithstanding the hurdles that exist in the vast reaches of outer space?

What the Universe told me just made me even more confused. Or is it just easier for me to believe that space is infinite so I don't need to worry about measuring anything?

Or am I wrong to assume that space can be measured by means of its distance or length? Is it safe to say that because of its immensity, we can just measure the time? No, I'm not talking about light-years. I know that light-years is a measurement of distance and not time even though it says "years". Light-years is the distance that light travels in one Earth year.

I've been told that the stars that we see in the sky right now don't really exist anymore. That when we gaze up at the stars, perpetual and unchanging as they may seem, we are not looking at things that exist in the present time. Those stars had already faded away.

But how can I even measure how long the outer space and all that's in it have existed? It's just too impossible! I don't believe in "billion years" or "trillion years". It's hard to tell exactly.

I give up, Universe! No matter how many books I read about You, it seems I will never really know the exact answer to all my questions. You may say I'm dumb and credulous, but it's so much easier to believe that there is God that designed the Universe that no human being can even fathom. When He said that He is the Alpha and Omega, I am not even going to question that.
