Footprints In The Snow
Today was like any other day for Keri MacKenzie. Just had a bit of work to finish, and lock up the house before making the trek to see her father.
She hopped in the car, fastened her seatbelt and off she went.
The trip should take just over three hours... and there is no time like the present to crank some music and get to driving she thought to herself.
The trip was going great until that car swerved into her lane and...
BOOM! Out go the lights.
She woke up a few minutes later, hanging upside down still strapped into her seat. The blood had began rushing to her head and she was feeling the effects of the crash pretty quickly. From what she could see, it looked like she went over the embankment and almost landed a creek, deep in the wildnerness.
"What the hell! Ughh... this is the last place I need to be right now, is upside down in a car wreck!" She shouted into the air, half expecting a response that she knew would never come.
She needed to get herself out of this jam, and quickly. She managed to cut her seatbelt and her body made a low sounding thud on the roof of her car. She realized that she might have a concussion and her vision was blurry. But she could tell night was well on the way.
She looked around the car for her phone but it was nowhere to be seen.
"This is just great! I really need a phone right now, so I know where I should go!" She shouted, her anger rising with every word.
"Okay, take a deep breath Keri!" She said trying to regain small amount of composure.
She crawled out of the car and made her way up the embankment, looking for any signs of life. She noticed it was snowing, and it was starting to pile up. She looked for the highway and got turned around form the looks of it.
She was heading in the wrong direction.

Guess this is going to be a cliffhanger... I only got five minutes... and that's it for the freewrite. I will save this for another session.
Hope you like the read. Have an awesome day... Peace!
