Hullo, hullo!
I'm terrible and disappeared again :D Well, have been doing my Business Administration Certificate, doing stuff with family, and... have done little to no writing.... and have been playing lots of Star Wars: The Old Republic.
And this is where I begin talking about emperors, and empresses. :D

You can find today's challenge at the following link:
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-580-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-emperor
Image is courtesy of SWTOR. Honestly not sure if it's CC0 or not, but I'm fairly sure they'd want their game promoted since it's rumoured to be dying. Please don't die. I love you. ANYWAY.
So, the prompt for today is 'emperor' and I keep misspelling the damned word. I keep writing 'Emporer'. Why do I spell it like this? Why is that the first way my brain wants to spell it before I realise it doesn't look quite right and there is a red squiggly line beneath it?
Crazy brain. Be better at English.
I've been playing a lot of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Blame it on my partner. He was playing games like Jedi Outcast and after hearing the Star Wars music penetrate my thoughts all day long, for several days, I got this massive urge to go back in time and remember my old SWTOR account and my dear characters. And then remember how much money I spent on that game and cringe. Same with WoW, actually, spent so much money on that and never played it again. Will never play WoW again though.
But, Star Wars! The characters I made in this actually mean something to me. I felt one with their stories and I loved each of them. Empire side, anyway. I couldn't get into the Republic stories. The only 'fun' one was the Smuggler and even that was a struggle to play through. But if I want a fancy golden thingee on my portrait, I'll have to do them at some point. And I want that fancy golden thingee. Shiny Gold Thing. Fancy Thing. Legendary Pizzazz. Not sure what to call it.
So, I started playing with my Sith Sorcerer. Finishing the story off where I left off last time I played, which was halfway during the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. Feel the urge to place the trailer for it here, so, here it is! Totally not my content. Thank you Star Wars. Thank you YouTube. Yadda yadda yadda.
Anyway. My Sithy Sorcerer is light side. And she killed the emperor. And then defeated his son, the new emperor. And then defeated his daughter, the new empress. And then had the opportunity to become empress herself. :D
Naturally, now I need to play my dark side Sith Warrior and take the throne. But. Wait. I'm a terrible terrible person in these types of games anddddd... after my light side sorcerer finished this stuff, I realised the emperor's son I defeated could be romanced! God damn it! Now I need to start a new light side sithy sorcerer to take advantage of the situation.
;)
beep beep says the egg timer.
But I'm terrible and want to keep rambling. So I will. I started a brand new Neutral aligned Sithy Sorcerer from level 1 and am planning on taking her all the way to the finish, JUST, SOLELY, to romance this dude. But, wait, there's more. When my Light Side Sithy Sorcerer finished the NEXT expansion, Knights of the Eternal Throne, I realised I could side with the Republic. Damn it! I have an Imperial Agent who is secretly a Republic stooge. Now I have to play HER to see if there's anything mentioned about it when it comes to those options.
Anyway.
I'm sure this is just riveting. ;)
Thanks for reading what I'm sure was a very uninteresting read about my life playing an MMORPG. :D
