She managed to get in from the freezing cold after travelling for over an hour to get home. It had been horrible: wind with the occasional rain and disgusting noise on the public transport. It didn't matter anymore what it cost for parking - she was never going to use that public transport again!
She immediately felt the warmth radiating from the loungeroom. This was not expected and she was wary - her husband was not due home for another week. As she walked in, there was a delight to behold! A nice warm fire and the delicious smells of dinner cooking in the kitchen. He was home!
She raced into the bedroom and stripped off the wet clothes. At first she thought of a sexy teddy to welcome him home, but stuff it - her favorite clothes were the tracksuit pants and warm slippers. Out she came to her sweet man with a smile on his face.
"I knew you would want wine with this. I bought a nice Cap Sav on the way home."
She smiled and gave him a kiss. "You are an angel. But I'll have to hold on the wine."
"Okay."
They settled in front of the fire. No need for TV, no need for electronics. Just warmth over her body and to eat this food. Her hubby is chubby and a salesman and he is the most wonderful creation on this given Earth!!
"I don't mean to ask a dumb question, but why didn't you feel like wine tonight? You normally love wine in front of the fire."
She put his hand on her belly. "I would love it, but it's not me I'm thinking of..."
His happy round face lit up, even brighter than the fire.
