‘I have seen those eyes before…’ °°°° She thought to herself about the captain’s expression. The fact that he had confided in her privately that he was worried made her own concerns grow even greater.
‘What a story we are living...complex..full of twists and turns!’ °°°° She concluded as she headed for the galley stairs.

[In the forest, south of Youngstown…]
Commander Galligan came flying into the small clearing at a dead run!
“Galligan Sairrr! Are you alright?!” Commander Kerrislravenhill exclaimed as she lowered her sword.
“I’m…alright!” Galligan gasped, catching his breath.
“You must rest Sairrr!” She suggested with compassionate eyes.
”No! There’s no time!” Galligan said as he crouched with his hands on his knees, breathing hard, ”They’re right behind me!”
“Sairrr, I’ll help you run!” Able Seaman Trayan injected.
“No…we can’t out-run them...” Galligan said as he stood up straight and glanced towards the river, “You- Ripper, can you swim?!”
“Swim?! Aye, but not with my bloody hands tied!” Ripper replied holding his tied wrists up.
With one quick swipe, Galligan cut his bindings with his dagger!
“You – can you swim?!” He repeated, this time looking at the stranger.
Nodding slowly, the gaunt man replied. "Evet...Ben bir avcıyım..."
"I'll take that as a 'yes'!" Galligan said as he quickly slashed the man's bindings!
“Sairrr, what are you thinking?!” Kerrislravenhill asked in confusion.
”Into the river! All of you!” Galligan ordered as he shoved Ripper and the stranger off the trail and towards the swift flowing rush of water.
“I’m not familiar with some crew members, but I’m sure it won’t take me long…” Lieutenant Pocketechange said absently as he followed close behind.
Shrugging her shoulders, Kerrislravenhill quickly followed too with Trayan and Daveks right behind her!
As they gathered at the waters edge, the looming sounds of war calls and whooping rang out clearly to their south! Galligan grabbed both of the two civilians and shoved them into the swift current! They quickly were swept away! He then turned…
“All of you! Into the river now!”
In one decisive dive, all three dove into the river and were swept northward! With one last glance behind him, Galligan shouldered his musket and leapt!
[Leyla’s cabin…]
Standing Officer Lupega thought hard as he stared at the board...
“Come on…have you not learned this game?” Leyla jested.
“This race already has an owner, I'll get everything ready to celebrate…” He said as he jumped one of her checkers and placed the piece on the side of the board.
Leyla quickly countered with a triple jump with her king, ending the game.
“Ha!” She laughed defiantly as she smiled at him.
Lupega nodded in defeat and gazed back at her. Such beauty and so far from anyone being able to admire it, “Thank you very much!” He answered smartly.

As they both took pleasure in each other’s eyes, it was easy to miss the jumble of men that came thrashing down the center of river outside! The current was violent... and as quickly as the hapless group appeared...they immediately were swept past the cabin and on down-steam...in a desperate struggle... to stay above water!
