When I first joined Steemit I didn't care about the price of Steem, whatever I earned was just a bonus and to be truthful..I didn't really believe in cryptos. I just joined because I wanted to take part in the small but growing Silver and Gold community and share my passion for metals with other like minded folks.
Now that I've earned over 1k Steem power I've started paying attention. Being exposed to all you Cryptomaniacs has rubbed off on me too, now on payday I throw a few bucks on some various cryptos and I'm having alot of fun watching them grow like a lil seed. 🌱
I still love my shiny metals but now I'm taking a bit of my PM money and adding some Litecoin, EOS and Ether, I also bought some BTC and lost a bit since then too 😛
When I signed up here Steem was 0.90 cents, now it's 2.80 and making a run up to the $3 mark.
I read we're up to 500,000 users now too, sure alot of those accounts are inactive but I believe 2018 is going to be a great year for us! Could we see $5 Steem in the New Year?..I think so, but we can't get lazy! We have to keep spreading the word and telling others about the site and the benefits of our lil blue crypto.
It's super fast and the fees are low, the chain can handle a shit ton of transactions too. Have any of you actually spent Bitcoin? It's slow as syrup running down a maple tree in the winter and the fees are absolutely rediculous!
There's other better, faster and potentially more lucrative digital currencies out there. I'm a crypto noob but I've already noticed Bitcoin's all hype, it may function as a good investment vehicle for now but I won't be buying any more.
I'll keep buying the smaller coins and hope if Bitcoin does keep up its monstrous gains it will pull the others up and if it falls I think the other better equipped cryptos will gain on it anyways.
I'm not that guy telling people that cryptocurrencies are a fad anymore, now I'm awake to the future of money.
I already hated the fiat monetary system and big banks, that's why I've been stacking for almost a decade. I'm protecting my hard earned money and diversying so I can be rich when I'm old. I have a shit job but I'm good with the little money that I do earn, I've learned to make more on the bit that I save and that any interest a bank will pay me I can multiply it in other areas. Inflation is real and I'm proud of the new generation that sees the writing on the wall, you've gotta find creative ways for you to outpace it, cryptos are a part of the answer.
So congratulations for being informed, invested into this platform and a boon to Steem everyone, because the majority of the value here are in its people. Crypto fiends are forcing the major players to look at the new money, the momentum and your passion have made even the dusty old banks and wallstreet change their tune and take notice. Cryptocurrency is here to stay and alot of the people on here are going to be very wealthy in the future! Couldn't happen to a nicer and more helpful group of individuals too 👍😎
