In preparation towards World Glaucoma Day and World Optimetry Week Celebration which would be in march conscientization of people on some common conditions that keeps people from utilizing the full capacity of the eye the campaign we are propagating as at now. This is because some of these condition simple require eye training exercise or simple spectacles for the person to be free of whichver symptoms may be affecting them.
This is also why as part of Vals Day Celebration we have decided to show our love to the pupils within the Kotei Rural Community School by screening them for binocular vision anomalies which mostly affect school going age children and prevent them from being the very best they can be in school. Binocular Vision Anomalies or BVA for short has the characteristic of making it highly uncomfortably pupils to read or learn and us such these students end up being branded as weak students academically when the fault may not even be their own. We would also be educating teachers on how to spot these kind of students who may need eye care to enable them be able to read and enjoy their stay in school.
