Teach Many New Experiences

It is an award to be invited to be a moderator at an event. I had the opportunity to attend a competition held by a student organization, in the local area. This time I was invited to be the moderator of the debate competition.

This is part of the national festival that has been going on for 3 days. On this second day, I guide the race. This event was attended by students from 7 campuses. These participants came from the Aceh region and outside Aceh. They came here to become champions in the debate competition.

This event lasts from morning to evening. The theme raised this time is about the Sustanaible Development Goals 2030. Among them there are more than 10 topics of issues that we raise. The topics are about culture, order of norms and values of life and technological development. The participants were quite sporty in participating in this activity. Each of them presented the debate material with enough enthusiasm with a critical mindset.

In the implementation, each team representing a particular university will be grouped into two teams, there is a pro team and a contra team. The division of groups is done randomly with dice. They will debate topics that have been determined by the committee. This activity was really enough to give me a new experience.

I was in front of a jury, experienced and great people. Meanwhile, this event has also brought me together with various people from different backgrounds, ranging from race, ethnicity, and culture. Being in this condition, attitudes and ways of communicating become very important to note. I have the responsibility to guide the course of the event. Provide instructions in accordance with the rules set in the race method.

The course of the race is determined by time, I am accompanied by a timer who is in charge of determining the time of the event. So this responsibility is slightly reduced. That is the meaning of life, something will be easier and lighter to do if done by more than one person. These values give meaning to the importance of our sensitivity as social people. We are often faced with selfishness which is nothing but the path that leads us to failure. It is precisely by increasing social sensitivity that we have become ourselves as part of the embodiment of the happiness of the soul and discarding frozen selfishness in the soul.

I tried to capture this moment by inviting them to take pictures together. So that what I have done today will become easier to look at some time later. Although nothing lasts forever in this life, but it never hurts us to save and leave a little happy story in this life.
