Today is right on February 20, 2020, I am very fortunate to be able to attend the "Soft Skill Training" event. This activity is a soft skills-based training (individual ability) which was initiated by one of the local government parties. This activity lasted for two days and started yesterday. However, I chose to publish what we did on this second day. Because indeed today's material is the most interesting to me.
This activity, which started from 8 am to 12 noon, was really very useful for my development. The event was filled by speakers who were quite reliable, professional and proficient in the field. According to the information that I got the speaker is part of an institution that is engaged in the psychological field. It can be said that the speaker this time is someone who understands about psychologists. A science that discusses a person's character and personality.
Keep in mind that soft skills are personal attributes, or personalities, as well as the communication skills needed to achieve success in carrying out a goal. Knowledge of soft skills is very important to learn. Because it needs to be understood that the most important thing in a job is to have quite good expertise, one of which is the ability in the Soft Skill field. How much strength the soft skills possessed by someone can be seen from how we interact with the environment around us.
There are some abilities that are very important in the field of soft skills, including the ability to communicate, the ability to think critically, the ability to lead, the ability to behave well, the ability in teamwork, and our ability to apply a work ethic. Soft skills are the most important aspect to have when exploring the world of work. Basically the ability of a job is only seen as a mere task. While in its implementation a task can be carried out by thousands of other people, but how to take great methods and concepts of work makes us more different and can go to a higher level. Whatever we are working on, we really need soft skills.
Today our main concept of our learning is about "Team Work". This is very important material to learn. To implement the lessons given, we finally made a simulation. Trainer gives us assignments by completing a game.
Participants are divided into teams. Each team consists of more than twenty people. We will walk along a bridge arranged from a sheet of paper. We try as much as possible to be able to arrive earlier across. After finishing the crossing, we still have assignments. A bunch of drink pipettes was piled on the other end. We have to build a building using a collection of drink pipettes.
In the end all the teams moved with their respective techniques. Everyone is busy doing their work. Think about the best strategy for winning the competition. In practice an effective teamwork requires good relationships, interactions, and execution of work. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, life experience, and work experience. The ability to coordinate all tasks is very dependent on the soft skills possessed by someone. So I am very fortunate today to be able to take this valuable lesson.
Another thing that might be a question, how can I take part in this great activity? It all started from my perseverance in scouting education organizations. Scout Education teaches us to be more active, communicative and informative. From there I can have a team, relationships and people who have information networks from related institutions.
