After a recent game versus the Golden State Warriors, LeBron James expressed his dissatisfaction with the referees.
Why is LeBron crying this time? Teammates? Coach? Bathtub temperature? Referees!
On December 27th LeBron James said,
“When you see the ref right there on the baseline looking at the whole play and you go up to him and he says there’s no call multiple times in crunch time, that’s the frustrating part,” James told reporters Wednesday. “For me it’s even more frustrating because I know how I’m officiated at times.”
It is a bit odd that James is calling on the referees to enforce the rule of the game. As anyone who has ever watched LeBron knows, he commits an offensive foul on every play when his back is to the basket.
This just in. It is apparently illegal to karate chop the defender on every play. Who Knew?
League Sources is reporting that this is merely a ploy by LeBron to allow him to rest more. After all, if he fouls out after the first six times he is in the post, he will definitely get plenty of rest.
Some people actually think LeBron is complaining about fouls against him (not committed by him) not being called. It is almost as if the referees were sick and tired of being embarrassed by LeBron's flopping and have decided not to give him the benefit of the doubt.
He could have been killed by the gust of wind that hit him!
That is absurd!
It's not like LeBron's flopping is so frequent that it created a vine craze called "LeBronning".
Be careful what you wish for LeBron. If the referees starting calling the game honestly, you won't be finishing very many games.
And players are supposed to be suspended for their 5th flop. If they enforce this, you might not be able to play a game until 2024.
Here are 1% of the times LeBron has flopped.
